I'll admit it. I am a quilt addict. I haven't always been this way. But I've recently fallen in love with the workmanship, creativity, and fabrics of quilts. I love a soft colourful quilt, and now all of the beds in my home are covered in them. But I have amassed quite the collection. So what's a girl to do with her beautiful quilts? Paint a piece to display them of course.
Actually this is a piece I picked up with the intention of selling, but inspiration hit. It started out as a dark wood that was beautiful in it's own way, but definitely not my style. I started by painting the inside white. I wanted to have the quilts have a neutral background.
The cabinet is painted with Miss Mustard Seed's Arabesque, and I just love it. I enjoy everything about this piece, from the soft pink that highlights the quilts, to the chippy finish.
I love to decorate with flowers and rusty heirlooms.
