How I came to love chippy paint....

Jenna and I have loved decorating and painting furniture for a long time. When she was going to be off on Maternity Leave we thought, "Wow we will able to paint some furniture all summer!" Well Emerson had other plans...we could hardly get dressed for the first few months. We took 2 hour shifts for the first month and boy we were sleep deprived. Slowly life returned to some routine and we started painting with a chalk paint brand. Jenna painted some amazing pieces. She told me about milk paint which was popular back in the 70s.  I made some of my own and we read  up on the Internet.  Turns out they have developed things like bonding agents and using hemp oil along with waxes. I contacted Homestead House in Toronto. Jennlynn invited me to attend a Retailers training course. Well I Love Milk Paint...I loved Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint so much, we decided to apply to be retailers.

Well Jenna and I are excited to tell you we have been accepted as a retailer for the London area. We have our first order coming and we can hardly wait to share it with you! The colours are amazing and the finish is like silk. If you love painting furniture , then you will be thrilled with this paint. Stay tuned for class schedules...we hope to see you soon at our new store at 432 Hamilton Road in London.

At the same time we were looking at other chalk and mineral paints...we found Country Chic another Canadian manufacturer of furniture paint and waxes. The colours are rich and well saturated with pigment. The waxes are all natural. Other waxes we used had solvents in them and we did not feel comfortable using them around the baby. We are proud to be carrying the Country Chic line, not only can you purchase at the store but also Online.
